These pictures made my heart happy when I saw them.
I can always count on Suzie Beezie to provide me with the best "pick me up" pictures.
We're in the middle of some pretty major projects over here at our house.
It all started with some old louver doors that my husband found on the side of the road
and my love for Peacock Blue and our need for a headboard in our daughter's room.
Projects always start out small and end up massive with us.
We finished the headboard and then decided that we needed to spruce up her lamps.
Before I knew it, we had found a huge fancy frame to paint and distress.
I'm not sure what makes the room more fabulous...the headboard or the corkboard or the lamps.
I'm just thrilled to finally have that blessed color in her room...it's amazing, so thanks Edie for the inspiration!
We got Lydia's room basically finished, when we got the brilliant idea to paint the whole interior of our house.
I've said before...this is not our house....
it's a parsonage that we live in while my husband serves as a campus pastor here in Orlando.
The house was renovated before we moved in, but some of the details weren't exactly my favorites.
After many encouraging posts from Nester, I decided it was okay to make it what we want while we're here.
{A little paint never hurt anything, right?}
My husband worked for about 8 hours finishing two huge rooms before we realized...
that we just didn't like the color.
I know. We're idiots who learn things the hard way.
So, after we laughed hysterically absolutely lost our minds...
we headed back to the paint store to find another color.
I can't wait to show you the finished project next week..
wish us luck!

ReplyDeleteoh! I've totally done that before.. I painted a room yellow. it was totally finished and I hated it. My husband wasn't happy. I think I may have had to paint it again all by myself. I know I'm usually attracted to white but the colors in these photos really speak to me today.
