winter park+caramel latte+"me" time=perfection.
it happens every year about this time.
the weather turns to perfect.
it beckons me to stay in the sunshine state a little longer.
you know how i've been whining for 4 months about the HEAT...
well, i'm finished.
you won't be hearing me gripe anymore.
you've got til about next may before it starts back up again.
now, you'll be listening to me go on and on and on about how perfect the weather is.
seriously.
the weather for the next 7-8 months is going to be glorious.
the breeze in the air is what takes it over the edge for me.
i swear. it is so delightful.
i always love winter park.
always.
but i love, love it in the fall.
i headed there on sunday afternoon.
all by myself.
i needed some "me" time.
i found myself aimlessly strolling in and out of stores with my caramel latte in hand.
i'd been with the kids all weekend cause husband was at a fall retreat with the college students.
it almost felt weird to be alone without three kids asking questions all at once about a hundred different things.
okay. so it wasn't weird.
it was glorious.
*smile*
my stroll through winter park was just what i needed.
and i took some pictures on my favorite street just for you.
i saved the best for last.
you've seen it before.
and i'm sure you'll see it again.
cause it just calls me to take its picture every time i drive by it.
i love to wonder what the stories are of the people who live inside.
i hope they are as happy as i am when i take pictures of their homes.

This is the kind of day that just makes me heart sing.
ReplyDeleteIs the 3rd house down the one on Palmer? If so, i have stalked that house endlessly. There is also a gorgeous brick one with black wicker and black and white toile cushions on either Interlachen or New England - i can't remember. but it's the cross street between palmer and New England that leads to the golf course.
These houses are gorgeous...I can see why you love it there. Is this near Orlando? My parents got a condo there for this winter and I remember something about Winter Park. Best wishes :)

Tara, There aren't many things better than spending an afternoon on Park Avenue having lunch outside when there is a little nip in the air. I am in Windermere and used to live downtown and spent many an afternoon strolling Winter Park. Enjoy this weather (while we can...)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
