Weekend at the Soccer Field

i love watching my kids play soccer.

the oldest one is naturally not aggressive and you kind of need to be.

it's been wonderful to watch  him learn to be something that he isn't naturally.

coaches make all the difference, as i've said before.

the middle one scored all five goals that led his team to victory.

we have to balance celebrating his talent while reminding him that humility is a greater strength.

the little one loves to watch her brothers.

i have to be careful to remember that she is watching how i cheer.

sometimes, i yell so loud that the boys give me the stare down from the field.

they don't like it, for some reason, that i try to coach them from the sidelines.

i noticed this weekend that she tries to emulate me.

this could be a very scary thing.

i have no idea who the last kid is.

but, he's so cute i could eat him alive.

which really just means...he's so cute i can hardly stand it.
