Easy Birthday Bash!

Today is Lydia's 4th birthday.
I can't believe our little girl is growing so fast.
It seems like it was just yesterday that we arrived home from China
just in time to celebrate her first birthday a few weeks later.
Our hearts are overjoyed with this sweet one.
She is loved by all who meet her.
She is just the perfect amount of sweet & sassy and fun & feisty.

This party was so much fun and so easy to plan.

We asked her what she wanted to do,
and she said she wanted to see the movie Tangled with her friends.
So, I picked the girls up and stopped for Happy Meals before heading to the theater.
The movie was one of the sweetest that I've seen in a while, so it definitely gets our recommendation.

Because we were going to a movie,
I knew that the perfect treat bags would be the popcorn containers filled with
a juice box, some milk duds, and a ring pop.
The girls enjoyed them so much!

Other than the movie, she had one request, and it was for a castle cake.
I found the greatest how-to video to watch and set out to on a mission to make it last night.
You can watch the video here to see how to make it.
The only thing I changed was the colors.
Instead of the perfect shade of pink, like they used,
I opted for turquoise & red to match our popcorn holders.
After the movie, we headed back to our house to enjoy the cake and open presents.

The girls enjoyed playing in Lydia's room for about an hour with all of her new toys.
I expected shrills and screams with four little girls in the house, but they were perfectly occupied in her room.

Just now, when we finished reading books and giving hugs and kisses before bed,
she said it was the best day ever and then she called me awesome.
I love that girl.
