The Winter Park Experience.

I've told you about the Winter Park Farmer's Market about a hundred times in the past year.

Winter Park is about fifteen minutes from our house, and it's our favorite part of living in Orlando.

Andy & I spend nine out of ten date nights there.

It's the place I escape when I need to have a small town feel.

best brunch..

best french pastries...

best toy store...

It's the best of both worlds...

with locally owned shops and Pottery Barn & Restoration Hardware.

The houses look straight out of a magazine and there are hundreds and hundreds of them to swoon over.

The streets are pure cobblestone perfection.

We love the farmers market in Winter Park.

Sometimes we go as a family and sometimes I pop over just for fruits and vegetables.

I've been known to pop over, walk around, and then leave to go stroll the streets with my camera.

It's like free therapy for me.

Yesterday, I meant to take pictures of all the beautiful, colorful fruits and veggies all lined up perfectly,

but all I managed to capture were the dogs.

Winter Park is known for being extremely dog friendly.

Most of the restaurants have sidewalk tables, so almost everyone takes their doggie children with them.

Nearly every single store keeps bowls full of water at their doorsteps and they offer treats to our fur friends.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure dogs on leashes are more accepted in Winter Park than children in strollers.

I thought I'd show you just a few of the dogs that I captured yesterday.

The only thing that would make this post more complete is if I had captured pictures of the owners.

There is some definite truth to the old saying...

"People pick dogs with similar personalities."

 {and if you'd seen the owner of the dog in the middle, you'd say people pick dogs that look like them}

Visiting Winter Park, Florida is an experience.

The food.

The shopping.

The dogs getting better treatment than children.

The streets.

The farmers market.

The homes.

Once, I saw someone walking their cat on a leash, and it had a real cashmere sweater on.

I'm just saying.

Winter Park, Florida is an experience.

We met some friends there yesterday and had the best time playing together.

I wish I'd taken a picture of my friend Stacy with the green plant that she picked up for herself.

She has the most beautiful, crazy, curly, hair that is the color of Nicole Kidman's hair.

This plant was wiry and going every which direction...kind of like her hair.
We laughed that people apparently also like plants that look like them.

I have a horrible chest cold, so I helped myself to a fresh bagel that was as big as my face, and I ate every bit of it!

A train goes straight through Winter Park...our family is dying to catch the train and take a trip to NYC.

Our sweet girl is tired and totally in love with her daddy...check out that ring he gave her...they're married according to her.

It was the perfect day!
Well, minus the hundred pound weight I feel like I have resting on my chest.
Chest colds stink.
