Have you seen Nester's FALL MANTLE?
This is what hers looks like this year, and I love it.
The pops of orange MAKE it, and I'm not just saying that because orange is awesome.
Anyway, last year when she had her FANTLE PARTY, I linked up my version of our mantle.
We actually didn't have a mantle in Orlando, so I decorated my dining room sideboard instead.
Better Homes & Gardens contacted me over the summer in an email.
They wanted to know if they could use my pictures in their "decorating for fall ideas" on their website.
I said YES and hit SEND on that email in 2.3 seconds.
Anyway, if you visit BHG you can see lots of ideas for "FALLIFYING" your mantles this year.
I'm excited that our rental has a fireplace and a mantle, and I can't wait to cozy it up this weekend.
Here are a few of my favorites from the pictures over at BHG.
After looking at them compared to the picture they have of my sideboard,
one thing is for SURE...
I'm adding color!!!

Silly, you didn't link to your post from last year, so I had to search through your archives...gorgeous! I loved your comment about the lamp light glowing through windows - I love that, too! The only thing I've transitioned to fall is my front door (not even the porch or entry, just changed from a summer wreath to a fall bucket of "stuff" on the door). Must be a combination of the brutally hot summer (and we are still in the 80s) and a busy schedule. But, it's my favorite season, so I'm itching to get to it!
ReplyDeleteok, so did a neighbor swing by with the silk?

Oh my gosh! My Mom gets that magazine so I am definitely going to scope it out and find YOUR MAGIC in it! Way to go sweet friend. You are such a super star. Orange is a great color. I have a new orange candle that smells SO DIVINE! It was in the clearance section at Ross' because it had a dent in the side. So, for $1.99 my house is smelling DIVINE : )

ReplyDeleteTARA! I have been following your blog FOREVER in my google reader, and I just realized that the Tara from pinterest is you on this blog. You also came up as a suggested FB friend the other day--I think we have Kelly Sasser as a friend in common. Small world, and the internet makes it smaller, huh? :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat exciting news!! I always enjoy stopping by your blog and seeing how God is working in your life:). Congratulations on the BHG!!! And on selling your house. We are about to enter the market and it is definitely keeping e on my knees in new ways. Thank you for the reminder that God's timing and plan may not be ours, but He's never absent.
