Here is the list of books that I read this year.
I had high hopes of reading way more than this, but we moved last August.
I know it's been 4 whole months, but reading just hasn't been on my radar as we've been adjusting.
I've been busy falling into the bed each night and only craving silliness such as::
Friends re-runs, The Office re-runs, Modern Family, and Tori & Dean.
And, if I'm gonna be honest, I've also watched a little Real Housewives of Atlanta and Beverly Hills.
{They make me feel normal because they are KA-RAZIE}
And, while I'm on this rabbit trail....
let me just say that those girls from Atlanta are not the most correct representation of Georgia girls.

My favorites from this list were:
I've got a crazy list of books for 2012, but I thought I'd give you a few that I plan to read....
Oh, remember when I made this list?
I'm determined to read at least 8 of those classics this year or I'm never gonna meet that goal of
40 before 40.
Soooooo....did you read anything this past year?
Have you made a list for 2012 yet?
Or, we could stick to tv shows that you're watching!!
Nester had an impromtu linky party for books we've read, so I thought I'd link up...

I am with you friend, several of those are on my list too....gonna be a reader in 2012, because that kind of thing would have bothered me in 2011 but not 2012!!! :]
ReplyDeleteHi! Found you from The Nester's link-up. I had Radical on my list this year, but it never happened...so I'll try again this year! I also want to read Grace for the Good Girl and Families Where Grace is in Place sounds good too. Thanks for sharing! Come by and check out my list: http://www.morethanmundane.com/2011/12/28/books-i-read-in-2011/
ReplyDeleteI love your list of all the classics. I'm working on my list of books. Next up is Grace for the Good Girl. I hear it is awesome.
ReplyDeletei love your list! i loved the hiding place AND anne frank...you're gonna love that! i like the idea of keeping a list of what you've read...it's a great idea. i might just have to copy that :)
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Tori and Dean. {did I just admit to that? :) } I have read and loved some of the same titles. thanks for great others!
ReplyDeleteAnne is one of my alltime faves. The whole series is totally worth the read. Now that I'm a mom I love #6, Anne of Ingleside when her children were young and into all sorts of mischief. I've got Radical on Amazon order as my first 2012 read. Did you read 1000 Gifts? or The Help? They're my top 2011 recommendations.
ReplyDeleteBefore I had a blog, I would read constantly, but now not so much. A few days ago, I did read the book For One More Day by Mitch Albom though...that was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteWe have such similar book taste. One I loved last year was Hinds Feet in High Places. Fabulous allegory.
ReplyDeleteI started Radical, but really loved Crazy Love by Francis Chan.
So many good books.
love,
Linsey

ReplyDeletehope all is well! susan

prayer & the art of volkswagon maintenence ( donald miller )
If I can read that many I will be happy!

Grace for the good girl has been recommended for me to read....how did it help you?
xoxo:)
Oh man, I lov the Anne of green gables series. You should definitely check out the movies too!!
ReplyDeleteI love, love Anne of Green Gables. She and I are kindred spirits! I read several of your 2011 books, and have some on my 2012 list. I try to use Good Reads to keep track of my books, but I don't do a very good job of it. Going to try to be better about it. And, definitely try to watch the Anne movies on PBS. They are great.
