wednesday night randomness and tree lights.

I'm trying to get some Christmas bokeh, and I half way achieved it tonight.
{I'll keep practicing}
Doesn't my sweet Max look thrilled to be getting his picture made?

I just noticed that I really need to add some burlap to that metal basket.
...it'd look so much better around those poinsettias.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll make that happen.

Today was one of those days when I didn't get out of my pajamas all day.
I home schooled the kids, painted family rules signs, and did five loads of laundry.
I've got to get back to doing a little every day because five loads is for the birds.

When my husband got home,
we all headed out to look for me something to wear to a holiday party tomorrow night.
Oh, I did get out my pajamas to go shopping.
I put on yoga pants. :)
Isn't it sooo much fun going shopping the night before an event with three kids?
Lets just say we survived, and no one was harmed in our attempts.
I did come home empty handed, but I managed to find something already in my closet, so all is good.
...kind of wishing I'd just looked in my closet a little longer before we all went shopping together.

okay...I'm signing out before this post gets more awesome.

Head over to Sarah's if you wanna see more pretty tree lights!

{thankful for}

  3. The last line of your post cracked me up. I think stuff like that all the time, "Shannan, just STOP TALKING!" Your rambling is actually quite charming. :) And I did the same thing with a party, recently. I wanted something new (surprise, surprise) but didn't actually want to buy anything (surprise surprise) and in the end, I loved what I dug out of my closet more than anything I could have found at Gap. ;)
