I am not always faithful to try everything I pin over at pinterest,
but I wear my food and clothing boards OUT.
There isn't a meal that I cook or an outfit that I wear these days that doesn't come from that place.
Lets just take a minute and thank God for something as simple yet revolutionary as pinterest.

I pretty much keep my look simple, which is why those jcrew tshirts are my new best friend.
I think I'll have one in every color before the summer ends.
They're awesome because you can dress them up or keep them casual.
I don't know about you, but at almost 39, I prefer skirts and summer dresses over shorts.
If I do wear shorts, I definitely love a blousey shirt with them...seems a little more forgiving. :)
And, lets talk skirts and dresses for a minute...
I wear my black jersey skirt from old navy every.single.week.
{sometimes twice a week!}
I'm still on the prowl for a maxi dress {with sleeves}....let me know if you've found one!
Do you do accessories every day?
I'm one of those that think they kind of make an outfit.
When you keep things simple, an arm full of bracelets or an awesome necklace really stand out.
See that bracelet from Jessica's Serenity on Etsy?
I got it from her today in the mail, and it looks soooo good next to my "trust your story" bracelet.
She sent an extra one for one of you, so come back tomorrow to see what it looks like and enter to win.
Think turquoise!! :}
{thankful for}
301. the sound of four boys playing airs soft wars in the yard.
302. hungry & thirsty boys {& smelly boys} coming in for snacks and drinks.
303. a little girl who loves to help me with everything.
304. a light fixture for the new dining room arriving from Pottery Barn.
305. grilled steaks, baked potatoes and a mighty fine salad for dinner.
306. renters to take over our lease on this rental house, which means we get our deposit back!

I love your style!
ReplyDeleteI love the outfits you put together. I agree, you have great style! My favorite is the dress by Matches Fashion. I think you should buy it, so I can live vicariously through you! :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the inspiration here. I went shopping a little yesterday and was so confused! I walked away with one Gap tee for $9.99 and that was it! I need to start checking out that aspect of Pinterest. I do love a necklace to jazz up my cotton tees and I also favor skirts. Dresses sometimes just look terrible on me {I think because I am so tall} so I have to be careful. So explain how you figure out on those pin boards, where the stuff is from?
ReplyDeleteCute outfits....I love pinterest because I get so many cute outfit ideas.
ReplyDeleteHi Tara, I stopped by from Sasha's blog, Lemonade Makin Mama. Your signs are gorgeous. I have to decide which ones we need for our home. :) Love the one you did for Sasha's son...good stuff. I look forward to reading more from you. I hopped around a little bit and read some of your older posts. I really liked what you said about "learning to trust your story." I'm making the journey, but I have to say, I have quite a ways to go. Thank you for sharing. Oh, and I love the outfits!
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
Christy
