twelve.

Today was full of celebration.
This boy is my first born, and it's his birthday.
Twelve short years ago, after seventeen hours of labor, I delivered him by emergency c-section.

So many people felt sorry for me that I had to have a c-section.
To be honest, I didn't care.
The method mattered not because he was the treasure.

He is tender hearted and sensitive and persistent and a little stubborn.
He is smart and inquisitive and inventive.
He is twelve and changing and growing up.
He loves people but he's a little more introverted.
He's a thinker and an inward processor.
Pretty much, he's his daddy.

Happy Birthday, Luke.
You are my first born sunshine.

{thankful for}
317. birthday celebrations.
318. tea parties with Lydia.
319. a rerun of friends that we never saw in the 90s..hilarious.

  7. Isn't it fun when a rerun surprises you like that? Just when you think you know all the episodes..."hey, what's this one?"

Hope the birthday celebration was wonderful. =)

  11. Such sweet words. I loved the bit about the method mattered not because he was the treasure. After 46 hours of labor with the first and nearly dying after the birth of the second, I couldn't agree more!
