I've got a great give away for you today, but first, I HAVE to tell you my news!
So many of you have prayed for me in this pain that I've had with my hips and back.
Thank you so much for journeying through it with me in prayer.
It has been a looooong two year process for sure!!
I can't say enough that chronic, daily pain is excruciating on your physical body,
but the toll it takes on your heart is almost worse.
I am so beyond excited to share with you that my pain is almost completely gone.
I have a wonderful doctor in Alabama that I've seen for the past 6 months.
She sent me to see a neurosurgeon last month,
and he suggested that I get an epidural steroid injection in my spine.
I just never felt peace about it.
Long story short, it got cancelled, and I was relieved.
The next week, our former campus pastor came to town and ran into my husband at a local restaurant.
Andy filled him in on my pain, and he asked us to come to a prayer and healing service at his church.
I wasn't healed instantly, but I know that the Lord did a healing work in me that night.
The very next week, I went to a chiropractor here in Athens that also has a physical therapy degree.
He just so happens to go to our church, too. :)
As soon as he walked in, he told me that he'd been praying for me
and asking the Lord to use him in my healing.
Of course, I cried the ugly cry.
I'm telling you,
there isn't a sweeter thing to me than having a doctor that knows who the great physician & healer is.
I've now seen him 4 times, and my pain is almost completely diminished.
Praise JESUS!
So, thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for your thoughts and prayers for me!
I have learned so much about God and about myself in this season of being in pain.
That'll be another post. :)
SO, are you ready for a great give away?
My friend Tahra has offered one of you that sweet necklace up above.

God is so good! And the jewelry is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love how God works! That's so awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Tara, maybe I missed it in a previous post. Are you in Georgia now? I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling much less pain and that the Lord has done such a wonderful healing work in you! :) Growing up, I was never exposed to what I am now as an adult in terms of God's healing abilities. My husband is a minister, traveling worldwide doing so and his best friend runs healing meetings here in Orlando. If you're still living in the area, I'm curious to see if it was through one of his services-Rich Vera (Voice of Healing Ministries). Be blessed and I hope that pain will be completely gone soon!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteCute necklace, how generous of your friend Tahra. :)
Warmly,
Karla
Amazing news. So glad that prayers are being answered.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace. I will check out her store.
Thanks and keep healing.
Hi Tara, I can really relate to your situation. My back injury was exacerbated when I was pregnant with my second child. My pastor prayed for me and I had an immediate blessing from the Holy Spirit and an overwhelming physical response to the healing. The best part was it was the first time I felt the baby jump in my womb. I am sure he was equally touched and blessed at the same time. Praise God.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to your pain. I have been suffering from constant pain in my feet for at least 2 years and it has gotten worse, causing me to quit exercising. I will be seeing a Dr. about it soon. Praying for healing as well, and rejoicing with you. Cute necklace and would love the opportunity to win. Thanks
ReplyDeleteGod is good all the time, and sometimes he just needs us to ASK for what we need! Prayer certainly makes a difference! I am glad you are feeling better and that you are settling well into your new home... which is gorgeous, by the way! The necklace above is beautiful, too!

ReplyDeleteSo glad that you aren't still in so much pain. Chronic pain does bad things to your heart for sure. I would find it such a comfort to have an openly Christian doctor. Tahra's jewelry is gorgeous. I pinned a necklace so that I won't lose sight of her Etsy shop.
