Christmas in July, Part one.

**** Give Away over****
The winner of this awesome silver, waxed initial seal is from commenter # 29!
Congratulations!!  I've emailed you to get you in contact with my friend, Tahra.
Thank you all for entering....I'll be back with our Christmas in July, Part two soon!

Hi friends!
Is there anything better than winning free stuff?
Free AWESOME stuff??

I actually have a couple of give aways planned for this week.
We'll call it Christmas in July, Part one & two.
The first give away is this amazing silver, waxed initial seal.
My friend Tahra from Orlando is a lot of things and being a generous gift-giver is just one of them.
She's been making jewelry for a long while now, but recently, she added this beauty to her ETSY shop.

My twelve year old son took these,
and I think he did a pretty good job considering he was holding a snow cone in one hand!
They're blurry and he never did get me looking at the camera, but beggars can't be choosers, right?
I wanted to give you an idea of what this awesome necklace looks like on a real person.

I have a few very favorite pieces that I wear, and this is now one of them.
To enter to win you can leave a comment telling me your favorite summer memory so far.
Also, since this is kind of a Christmas in July give away,
Go visit her ETSY SHOP and add it to your favorites!!
It'll come in handy when you get ready to order Christmas gifts this year!

A winner will be randomly chosen on Wednesday afternoon, assuming I get my act together.
**Please leave me your email address if you aren't a blogger**
I want to be able to contact you when you win!

{thankful for}

  28. Last year was our first year of school (we homeschooled previously) so I am determined to enjoy every second of having my boys home with me. My best memory so far was waking up in the middle of the night while camping in Asheville, NC. I was in a tent with my hubby and two boys and it was STORMING out...hard. Everyone else was sleeping and oblivious and our tent was secure and dry. It was one of those moments where I was perfectly content and peaceful and all I could do was snuggle in and tell God thanks for all my blessings and go back to sleep.

  55. Ok, my favorite summer memory . . .

At the young age of 10 I was a very mischievous girl, the youngest in a family of six children. It was summer, and back in the day, you created your own fun. (I'm 62 years old, so it's that many years ago). I loved ringing door bells and running, and another thing I would do was to knock on a neighbors window and hide. I started doing that quite often to our next door neighbor until they finally had enough and came over to ask my father to please tell whoever was doing it to stop that it was scaring his children. Well my father called us in one at a time to ask if we did this. There was only two people left to ask, my sister and me, and I went to my father first. He asked me if I was the guilty one (those were not his exact words) and I lied and said "no." He then asked me to get my sister, Barbra, who was only 17 months older than me and a perfect angel! Because Barbra was the last sibling to ask, I knew if she told my father she didn't do it, then he would know someone lied and then I would be in twice as much trouble. So I went and got my sister and without her even knowing what my father was going to ask, I begged her to please say "yes" so I wouldn't get in trouble . . . , and so, she did. My sister took the punishment for me. I'll never forget it and I share this story with many people. Barbra wasn't trying to be naughty by lying, she just loved me enough to take the punishment. Sound familiar? Oh yes, that's exactly what the Lord has done for us all. I learned a lot this summer, yes indeed, it was a very memorable summer.

    God bless!
