A story of survival & a give away

My friend Tabitha and I have known each other a very long time.
Circa 1991.
We went to high school together and cheered those mighty Raiders on
every single Friday night each Fall.

We were thicker than thieves and made memories of a lifetime.
My house was where our friends usually ended up...my mom was known for having the best food.
She almost always had left over biscuits, pork chops & the sweetest sweet tea waiting on us.
After the games, we spent our time rolling yards and listening to def leopard.

We most definitely and single-handedly kept hair supply companies in business for years on end.
You know your hair was big when people say that's what they remember about you.
Wow.  We made life changing impressions, huh?
Life was simple and good and all about us....we were teenagers, after all.

Fast forward to a few years ago....
Tabitha was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.
She was busy being married and raising her three children, who were 11, 5, and 2.
She was just 34, but cancer didn't care.
This diagnosis was sure proof that we're way past those teenage years.
Gone are the days when we think nothing bad can come our way.
Tabitha's life was changed forever.

I am so thankful that she survived her breast cancer.
But, long after her chemo, a double mastectomy and lymph node removal on one side,
she felt miserable.
She's suffered from fatigue and body aches with no reprieve.
For years on end, she hasn't felt good.
So, even though she survived breast cancer, she hasn't had a quality life with her health.
She had doctors who didn't truly empathize with her story and help fight with her for better health.
She pulled herself up by her boot straps and decided to advocate for herself.
She finally found a wonderful set of doctors in Atlanta who believe in medicine as a temporary fix.
They fight for whole health!!!

Her body was totally depleted, and she needed it to be restored.
Somewhere along the way, she also found out about the company IT WORKS!
She became a representative with them,
and she has been busy helping others get as healthy as they can.

She has generously offered one of my readers some of the GREENS formula.
I tried it last week and loved it!
It alkalizes, balances and detoxifies all at the same time.

You're gonna love this product!
Leave a comment telling me what you do to help give
your body maximum health.

  5. What an awesome giveaway! I've recently greatly minimized my affinity for pop... found a long lost friend in water, dabbling with a low carb diet and started juicing again to get more sound nutrition into my body.

  6. I do drink lots of water. But I have really let my "upkeep" slip this summer. I was just reading a magazine article today about thyroid problems - the symptoms sound like me (fatigue, listlessness, weight gain). I turn 50 in September so I need to rally!

  12. Until this past summer, I let my personal health slip away while making sure everyone else was eating healthy. The result, the Dr. telling me my cholesterol is way too high and I need to lose weight. So after a visit with the nutritionist, I've cut out extra snacks during the day, and am drinking more water and eating less packaged foods. It's not an easy battle! Yeah to your friend for taking care of herself when no one else would!

  23. Twelve years ago, I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue. I had to quit teaching and for years I felt miserable. Doctors told me to exercise, but how could I when I couldn't get my head off the pillow? Finally, I began deep water aerobics at my local Y. Deep water is soothing and there is no impact on your joints. Three years later, I do 6 hours of water aerobics a week, I am 30 pounds lighter and I feel wonderful!

  24. I think the most important thing I do is getting enough sleep. I take a lot of heat for going to bed early, but there is nothing worse than waking up in the morning feeling more tired than the night before.

Thanks for a chance to win!

  25. Definitely sounds like something I need to try. Because of my feet I have been unable to exercise for quite some time, and I feel exercise is one of the most important things you can do. It energizes you, helps you to sleep better, not to mention staying in shape. Getting back into exercise and looking forward to it.

  26. For much too long I've put everyone else ahead of my own health. I've decided to change all of that and start taking care of myself! I've started drinking more water and watching what I'm eating. Getting back into exercise and the clearer thinking that comes with it! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  30. I'm glad your friend is doing well and found something that really worked for her. My cousin had a stage 4 brain tumor and radically changed his diet...it worked miracles for him. I try to watch what I eat and have been a vegetarian since I was about eighteen. I just added a new app to my phone called My Fitness Pal that I hope will make me even more conscious of the things I'm putting into my body.

  32. I try to eat more fruit and vegetables. I also take supplements...Vitamin D, B and Alphadophilus Probiotics.
I also drink cranberry juice-which mixed with seltzer water is great.

Would love to give It Works! a try...with a very lively 3 year old boy I need all the energy and help I can get!

  33. I've been going to bed earlier and drinking tons of water....really helps.

  34. I have Crohn's disease, and I have to take a ton of medicine in order to feel normal. To try and combat all the meds, I take a probiotic, aloe vera juice, fish oil, D3 and B12. I exercise daily, even if it's just for a walk, drink tons of water, and make sure that I always, always have a little alone time for myself. I really think mental and physical health go hand in hand.

  42. Loads of water, brussel sprouts and krill oil. Weird, I know. Just today, my best friend started a years worth of bi-monthly chemo. She had a double mastectomy and lymph nodes removed on her left side in July. I pray she has the same blessed results as your friend.
