Fall Tablescape

I loooooooove Fall and what it represents, don't you?
~pumpkins, gourds, corn mazes, tractor rides, smores, fire pits, soups, sweaters, and scarves~
Oh! And leg warmers.  There will be leg warmers this year around here.

If I could do a toe-touch without landing myself in the ER, I'd do one.

I lit my first pumpkin spice candle on September 1st,
and I only waited that long because my friend Michele made me.

I've been nesting for the past couple of weeks, and it has been so much fun doing it in our new home.
Of course, my boys think I've reached the highest form of looney for getting excited about
indian corn, chevron pumpkins and an old coffee grain sack used as a table runner, but whatever.

I totally played copy cat to Melaine over at My Sweet Savannah on her chevron pumpkins.
Hers are one thousand times better than mine because she went professional and used tape,
while I painted mine free hand and didn't even love them enough to give them a second coat.
The nerve I have.
I have high hopes of giving them a second coat and making them look a little more decent,
but lets just say none of us should hold our breath!
Anywho, if you want the skinny on how to do them, just visit the link to her blog up above.

Do you spy a certain little dog baby in my last picture?
I just noticed him!!  If he's not in my arms, that's where he loves to lay.

  3. Fall is my favorite time of the year!
I love your table, the cow print..I have said it before....your house. We share alot of the same likes but I use a bit more color. I wish I lived closer. I think we could have some fun hitting the TJ's and the fleas. I still don't have any real pumpkins. I took the grands to the patch and by the time we loaded all the carseats and people we only had room for a few pumpkins for them! I am going to town tomorrow to get some pumpkins and some mums! I am probably to lazy to chevron them although, I wish someone would!!
I have a couple of fall candles burning and don;t tell your friend Michele but I play Christmas music year round. LOL
I just took your house tour. I adore your style!

  6. Beautiful, Tara! We are having cool (almost cold!) fall weather here in Michigan, it was in the 30s this morning and only in the mid 50s this afternoon. We were just on the beach 2 weeks ago, it's amazing how fast fall creeps up on you in the north!

  12. Tara,
Love your fall tablescape. Okay, asking for permission to swipe your idea with the indian corn. I love that idea in the glass cylinder. Its different and unexpected and I haven't seen it anywhere else.
Your son's comment made me laugh. Ah the men in our life, bless their hearts they don't get the decor thing.
It's the little things in life that makes us giddy...like indian corn. : )

  19. Ohhh, I love this! Everything in that room comes together so perfectly for a fall display...even the cow picture and the chandelier! A pumpkin spice candle sounds wonderful. My favorite scents are things that smell like food rather than something floral. I haven't done one bit of fall decorating yet, but maybe I'll try and whip something together today :)

  20. What a beautiful tall table! I don't really do tablescapes...or change things out very much. My dining room table looks pretty sad right now. But at least I finally got all the junk cleared off the top so we can use it! It took me forEVER to unpack and put things away. Still working at it actually! Off to sort out the mess in my studio! xoxo!
